Considering a redo but I'd like to fix just the one failed side. Is there any possible way to find the blocked side before going into reversal again?

Low sperm count after reversal. Any possible way to find out what side is working? I previously had 3 children relatively easily, with the youngest just 6 years old. I believe the reversal failed on one side (scarring) and maybe a partial block on one side. Ideally, I'd just like to target the single failed connection.

The answer is most probably that it is not just one side. This is possible, but it is more likely that the anastomosis on each side is fine but that the tesiticles have not fully recovered their sperm production capabilities. It is possible that on one side or both that the anastomosis is narrow. A fully functional solitary side can produce the normal amount of sperm. There may be nothing wrong but the situation only needs time. There is not an easy or certain way to assure the patency of the vas deferens.

I had a vasectomy before meeting my partner and now that we will be marrying soon, we'd like to start a family. So I had a vasectomy reversal three months ago. I have not ejaculated more than 10 times for purity purposes before marriage. I had my sperm tested after the reversal procedure and it shows that the sperm has not returned. Can we hold out hope? Is there a chance the sperm will return?
