Every reversal surgeon has their own policy regarding this and it is a popular concern because reversals are not customarily covered by insurance and they are expensive. I saw on one site where the reversal office said that patients could pay over time "before" the reversal and when the necessary amount of funds where reached then the procedure could be done. CareCredit.com is probably the most commonly utilized method of getting financing for non insurance covered medical procedures. In my office a "paying over time" is not offered only because the logistics of monitoring an ongoing payment. Having said this, each office including mine do from time to time accept certain arrangements requested by patients in certain circumstances. Like they say and I'd recommend you do this, "It never hurts to ask."

Some surgeons may offer it but the cost for it is not exorbitant in most qualified situations. Most doctors can't be lending institutions. Credit cards work well for this procedure. As I often say, if you can't afford a reversal, you most certainly can't afford to raise one more child to adulthood.

It depends on which practice you are working with. My practice offers financing options through www.carecredit.com. There are others who do as well, so search around for reputable surgeons in your area.
