I unfortunately lost two children in a car accident in 2014.
Although chances for pregnancy is diminished a little bit because of elapsed time is close to 10 years after vasectomy, vasovasostomy is still a procedure that can give you fairly good chance for successful pregnancy.

So sorry for your loss. Yes a reversal is definitely a possibility

It is absolutely possible and quite successful when those of us who are experts in vasectomy reversal perform the surgery. Of course, your partner's age and fertility potential are important predictors of pregnancy. But when a reversal is performed and sperm are in the ejaculate, every single month there is an opportunity for pregnancy. So sorry for your devastating loss.
Hope this information helps,

It is possible and commonly done, but pregnancy isn't assured. This link gives the success rates depending on the years since the vasectomy:

I am sorry for your loss--definitely tragic. Yes, it is possible to have a reversal with good success since the interval since vasectomy is short. The decision between vasectomy reversal and sperm retrieval along with assisted reproduction should be decided as a couple and depends on maternal factors as well.

First of all, I am very sorry for your loss. The good news is that in the hands of a urologist with microsurgical training the sucess rate of a vasectomy reversal is greater than 90%, since your vasectomy is less than 5 yrs old. I would suggest seeking out a urologist with microsurgical training in your area.

That is such a sad story and such a tragedy. A reversal is certainly possible and the good news is that since your vasectomy occurred 3 years ago, the likelihood of success is very favorable.

Yes, reversal is possible but keep in mind the success for reversal goes down more each year after the second year post- vasectomy You would have to be examined to be able to gain any more information about you specifically

In a man of proven fertility, only three years since vasectomy, reversal in the hands of an experienced microsurgeon will result in sperm return to the semen in 99% of cases. The pregnancy rates are lower, 50-80% and dependent on age of female partner.
The most important factors are time since vasectomy, female partner age and experience and skill of the microsurgeon.

Very sorry for your loss. Fortunately, your timing for a reversal is excellent for a successful outcome. Try to fend a urologist who is fellowship trained.

Yes. If you have a reversal within 3 years after vasectomy there is better than 90% chance that sperm can be restored to the semen. The chance for pregnancy is less than 90% and depends on the age and fertility status of your female partner.
