The cost of a vasectomy reversal depends on the region and the surgeon. However, the quality and expertise of the surgeon are critically important.

Watch out for "low price" options that may not have the quality behind them. On the other hand, watch out for the "way too expensive" options that are driven by the costs associated with that particular hospital. Sometimes hospitals will not allow a reduction in charges for self-pay patients and the surgeon is stuck with that.

Hope this helps,

The average cost in the US is about $10,000, although you can find (non-urologist) doctors to do reversals for as low as $3000 (for a very quick procedure under local anesthetic in their office using outdated techniques). In our office, the total cost (anesthesia, surgery center, and procedure fee) is $6300.00, and there is financing available through Carecredit.

The price for a vasectomy reversal varies considerably firm city to city. It is most likely highest on each coast but certainly depends on the facility.

There is a surgeon's fee, day surgery/ hospital fee and an anesthesia fee. Again these vary.

I think the total cost for a microscopic reversal should be $8-10 thousand.
