I have a hard lump that has formed underneath my vasectomy incision. Is this normal? What should I do?
Vasectomy - 2 answers
I had a vasectomy a week ago. All was going well until yesterday when, on the left-hand side, a hard lump formed underneath where the incision was. It feels about a centimeter in diameter, maybe bigger. It's not painful to touch but feels a bit tender. The right-hand side is fine and is healing well.

During pre-surgery examination, the urologist could not find my right vas deferens. What are my options?
Vasectomy - 2 answers
The urologist gave me 2 choices: perform a unilateral vasectomy or perform an exploration of the scrotum under general anesthesia. I am at a loss. I am considering the first option but I am worried the vas deferens was present but not detected and the unilateral vasectomy will not render me sterile. Can you give me an estimate of the likelihood I am really missing one vas deferens if it was not detected by palpation? On a more general note, what are my options when it comes to vasectomy?

What is the intense pain I am getting in my right testicle? It's been four months since my vasectomy.
Vasectomy - 1 answer
I have been to my doctor twice in four months because of severe pain in my right testicle. He says it's an infection and gave antibiotics but the pain keeps coming back. It's worse during sex and about ten minutes after. It is a cramping, pulling sensation that goes up into the pelvis. The pain is very bad.

Will my scrotum return to normal?
Vasectomy - 2 answers
Getting a vasectomy was the worst experience I've ever had. I feel like I was violated and mutilated. The local anesthetic didn't work well on me, making it an extremely painful procedure. I felt it all. My left testicle swelled to the size of a baseball and my scrotum was stretched. Now that the swelling is down my scrotum is extremely saggy and my testicles seem like they are hanging way lower than ever before. It is making it hard to get around like normal. Will my scrotum return to normal?

Will having a spermatocele complicate a vasectomy? Should I use one method of vasectomy over another considering the spermatocele?
Vasectomy - 1 answer
I've had a spermatocele for years; it was diagnosed by an MD. It's generally painless and stays about the size of a testicle. Will having this complicate a vasectomy? Should I have it removed when I have a vasectomy, or would it need to be removed before?

Can I get pregnant within 2 months of my husband having a vasectomy?
My husband had a vasectomy on August 17. He has ejaculated 5 times since the procedure. He is not planning on going for the sperm check. If we have unprotected sex over the next few months (September and October), what are the chances of pregnancy? Does the sperm count go by number of times ejaculated or weeks gone by? Thanks for answering my questions!!

48 hours after vasectomy, I've been experiencing a weaker than normal urine stream and some discomfort when urinating. Is this normal?
Vasectomy - 3 answers
It's been 48 hours since I had a vasectomy. I've been experiencing a weaker than normal urine stream and some discomfort when urinating. The pain has been manageable. I have a varicocele (has been present for years). My primary concern is the symptoms I’m experiencing when urinating. I find it more difficult to start than normal, and I seem to have a “weaker” stream on occasion. This wasn't the case before the vasectomy. Is this something that should go away? Is what I'm experiencing normal?
