No-Scalpel Vasectomy Questions

It's been 6 days since my vasectomy and I am still in pain. It feels like I have a double hernia. Is that possible? Is this normal?
No-Scalpel Vasectomy -1 answer
It's been 6 days since my vasectomy and I still have pain and swelling in my groin area. It feels like a double hernia. It hurts to go from sitting to standing and when standing for long periods. My testicles also hurt when I go from sitting to standing. Everyone is calling me a baby due to my symptoms, but this doesn't feel normal. What do you think?

Should I be concerned with the bruise on my penis after vasectomy?
No-Scalpel Vasectomy -2 answers
I had a no-scalpel vasectomy yesterday. The procedure was fine and my surgical site is closed. I’m mostly ok, except there’s a bruise (not painful to the touch) on the right side of my penis, far away from the surgical site. Everything I read and was advised by the doctor talks about bleeding or bruising around the site or in the testicles, so this one threw me off. It’s not painful, just wondering if it should be cause for a follow-up.

I had a no-scalpel vasectomy 4 months ago. It seemed to have healed normally. I've ejaculated several times with no issue. However, this most recent time a pill-size mass has developed, which is painful. How do I prevent this while still being able to perform?

Can I get pregnant within 2 months of my husband having a vasectomy?
No-Scalpel Vasectomy -2 answers
My husband had a vasectomy on August 17. He has ejaculated 5 times since the procedure. He is not planning on going for the sperm check. If we have unprotected sex over the next few months (September and October), what are the chances of pregnancy? Does the sperm count go by number of times ejaculated or weeks gone by? Thanks for answering my questions!!

I have chronic pain after my vasectomy. How long will this last?
No-Scalpel Vasectomy -2 answers
I had a vasectomy 3 months ago. Had a huge hematoma, one operation, then another due to suspect infection.3 months on, my right side is still a lot bigge. The tubes to my testicle are very hard. I have chronic pain, of which my doctors just want me to live on pain killers for the rest of my life. How long would this be likely to go on for? I feel no change down there and the drugs just make life unbearable.

Is it normal to have a low volume after ejaculation?
No-Scalpel Vasectomy -1 answer
I had a vasectomy 3 weeks ago. I was told I wouldn't notice a difference when I ejaculate, but the volume is definitely down. It's even less after the 2nd time. My right side had quite a bit of pain after the procedure. I had a higher level of pain during and is still just a bit tender. The doctor said I had some granuloma. The left side was almost perfect 3 days after. The tenderness is slowly getting better, but I'm worried the lower volume won't go away or is a symptom of a bigger problem.

Would my wife still be able to get pregnant if I have non-motile sperm?
No-Scalpel Vasectomy -2 answers
I had a vasectomy 3 months ago and my results have come back with a normal sperm count of 98 million. But only 1% motility (slow) 99% non motile. Would I be classed as infertile? Also is it likely my sperm count will go down with time or stay normal and class as unsuccessful?

Can a hot bath affect sperm quality testing results?
No-Scalpel Vasectomy -2 answers
My husband sent off his sample to be tested 3 months after his vasectomy and it came back with a normal count and low motility. Right before he ejaculated he had a hot bath. Could this immediately effect those sperm to give a false reading?

My husband had his vasectomy 3 months ago and had ejaculated 35+ times and had his semen analysis done last week. It has come back that he has a normal sperm count of 28.5million/ml but only 1% motility. Is this normal? Does this mean the procedure has been a success?

Heavy bleeding after a vasectomy. What should I do about the bleeding wound?
No-Scalpel Vasectomy -2 answers
I am on day 9 after a vasectomy and have had continues spots of blood due to the scar coming away 3 days ago. Last night I awoke to my pyjamas having a big patch of blood which has worried me. I don't have any pain or discomfort. Even the testicles have stopped aching. Should I see my GP or should I let this try and heal on its own? If I let the wound heal on its own should I keep it covered with an adhesive wound pad? Kind regards.

Day 7 scrotal haematoma bleeding. What should I do about this?
No-Scalpel Vasectomy -1 answer
One week in my haematoma, whilst still huge, is lightening in colour and there is no pain. However the incision, which seemed to have healed, is bleeding again. A very slow dribble of dark red blood. I've put more dressings on and assume I will wait for it to dry up again, but is there anything else? Sadly, I will be sat down (not lying down) for most of tomorrow.

On the instructions for the post vasectomy semen analysis it says drop off to a lab or go to a Hosptial. The only lab is LabCorp near me.
No-Scalpel Vasectomy -1 answer
When I called them asking if they take this specimen drop off, they said they do but they send it out to another one of their labs. Doesn’t it have to be read within an hour of collection though? Or will the sample show if there are any alive or dead when they finally analyze the sample? Thank you.
