Vasectomy Questions

The clamps placed during vasectomy came off and now the amount of cum is the same as before the surgery. Can I get my partner pregnant?
Vasectomy -2 answers
My vasectomy was 5 years ago; the healing went fine. A couple of years ago, I kept swelling and my balls would turn blue. Went to ER and they did an ultrasound. They said my clamps had almost come completely off. After ejaculation, my balls would shrivel up and feel like I was kicked in the balls by a horse. I also could feel the clamps. Now, I can’t feel my clamps and no pain. I'm back to pre-surgery amount of cum. We want another baby. Could it happen or do I need a reversal?

On my scrotum I can see the puncture hole. There is no bleeding or discharge of any kind, but there is a visible hole. Will that go away after time?
Vasectomy -2 answers
I can open the hole a bit and it's sealed within the hole. Just wondering if I'll always have a new hole there or if it will seal up over time. Thank you!

Should I still be having pain and swelling 7 days after my vasectomy?
Vasectomy -1 answer
I had my vasectomy about 7 days ago. Since day 1, I have big swelling (the left testicle is 2x bigger than the right). I applied ice for 3 days but the testicles remain at the same size and my scrotum is a bit red. Additionally, I have moderate pain in the upper part of both testicles if I touch them (more pain in the left one). I asked my doctor at day 4 and he says that everything is as expected. But I'm concerned because I'm at the same stage since the surgery.

Is it normal to have slight swelling and minor testicular pain 1 month after vasectomy?
Vasectomy -1 answer
I still have slight swelling and pain that goes from under the testicle and feels like it extends to my bladder. It's been 1 month. Is this normal? I started my life as normal the next day after vasectomy, carrying one of my kids. And 7 days later I had to travel, taking four flights for three days. The pain comes slightly when I walk or my testicles are hanging.

Vasectomy -1 answer
I had a vasectomy 5 months ago and have what my urologist calls a contusion. He is rubbing off the tenderness to my scrotum and balls as nothing. How do you get a contusion after vasectomy? What can be done about it and the tenderness it causes?

Should I get retested for a semen analysis? My semen was collected 32 hours after my last ejaculation.
Vasectomy -3 answers
I had my vasectomy 3.5 months ago now and took my semen analysis. It was negative, no sperm seen. My question is that I was never given any instructions on this procedure and I've recently read online that you should wait at least 2 to 7 days after your last ejaculation to collect a sample. I wasn't aware of this. Does it matter? I collected my sample about 32 hours after my last ejaculation, so less than 2 days. Should I get retested?

10 days after my vasectomy, my right testicle is 5x larger than the left. Is this typical swelling/bruising or an infection/internal bleeding?
Vasectomy -1 answer
I had my vasectomy 10 days ago. For the first 6 days, everything seemed to be going really well. On day 7, there was great discomfort and pain coming from the right testicle. Today is day 10 and my right testicle is about 5x larger than the one on the left. Is this typical swelling and bruising or does it sound more like infection/internal bleeding?

I have a hard lump that has formed underneath my vasectomy incision. Is this normal? What should I do?
Vasectomy -2 answers
I had a vasectomy a week ago. All was going well until yesterday when, on the left-hand side, a hard lump formed underneath where the incision was. It feels about a centimeter in diameter, maybe bigger. It's not painful to touch but feels a bit tender. The right-hand side is fine and is healing well.

During pre-surgery examination, the urologist could not find my right vas deferens. What are my options?
Vasectomy -2 answers
The urologist gave me 2 choices: perform a unilateral vasectomy or perform an exploration of the scrotum under general anesthesia. I am at a loss. I am considering the first option but I am worried the vas deferens was present but not detected and the unilateral vasectomy will not render me sterile. Can you give me an estimate of the likelihood I am really missing one vas deferens if it was not detected by palpation? On a more general note, what are my options when it comes to vasectomy?

What is the intense pain I am getting in my right testicle? It's been four months since my vasectomy.
Vasectomy -1 answer
I have been to my doctor twice in four months because of severe pain in my right testicle. He says it's an infection and gave antibiotics but the pain keeps coming back. It's worse during sex and about ten minutes after. It is a cramping, pulling sensation that goes up into the pelvis. The pain is very bad.

Will my scrotum return to normal?
Vasectomy -2 answers
Getting a vasectomy was the worst experience I've ever had. I feel like I was violated and mutilated. The local anesthetic didn't work well on me, making it an extremely painful procedure. I felt it all. My left testicle swelled to the size of a baseball and my scrotum was stretched. Now that the swelling is down my scrotum is extremely saggy and my testicles seem like they are hanging way lower than ever before. It is making it hard to get around like normal. Will my scrotum return to normal?
