I had a vasectomy 10 years ago. The surgeon cut out a very small section. If it was 1/8 inch I'd be surprised then cauterized the ends.

Is it possible to go in there and remove more of the vas deferens? Say a couple of inches each side?

It is possible but unnecessary. If you have had a successful vasectomy for 10 years the chances are almost 100% that you will not be able to achieve a pregnancy in the future without a reversal. Almost all failures of a vasectomy occur within the first couple of years or so. In addition, so that you understand he may have cut out only a small amount but the clips that he placed are far separated and now no doubt more of your vas deferens (the tube carrying the sperm) is missing were there to be an exploration for whatever reason
