How much swelling is normal after a vasectomy?

After a vasectomy, is it normal for it to swell to the size of a baseball on just 1 side?

There is a minimal amount of swelling after the vasectomy. A baseball-size swelling is an outlier but is certainly not a rare situation. Remember: "This, too, shall pass!"

There is minimal to no swelling after a vasectomy. A baseball-sized swelling indicates either a post-op bleed or there has been a sperm leak resulting in a granuloma. These will usually resolve with time but occasionally requires intervention.

No, that in abnormal swelling. See your urologist.

No, it is not. Swelling with size of baseball typically indicates a hematoma that can be managed without surgery
