What is the age requirement for a Vasectomy? I am 18 years old.

I understand what most any doctor would say, "you're too young and your brain isn't developed', but i know i don't want children ever. Can doctors perform vasectomies on 18 year olds?

As long as there is an informed consent, yes.

It depends on the state in which you live

It depends on the provider, you will need consult first before scheduling vasectomy.

The only requirement to having a vasectomy is to to be a consenting adult. However, I think you would have a hard time finding an experienced doctor to perform the procedure on a teenager without a valid medical reason. While everyone should respect your view of parenthood, adult life is just beginning for you. I too was convinced that I never wanted children but thankfully, I had a child at age 35.

If you are adult and want to make a decision to have vasectomy ,it is your choice.
