Will my scrotum return to normal?

Getting a vasectomy was the worst experience I've ever had. I feel like I was violated and mutilated. The local anesthetic didn't work well on me, making it an extremely painful procedure. I felt it all. My left testicle swelled to the size of a baseball and my scrotum was stretched. Now that the swelling is down my scrotum is extremely saggy and my testicles seem like they are hanging way lower than ever before. It is making it hard to get around like normal. Will my scrotum return to normal?

The short answer is yes. The small incision will not change the size of the scrotum as it heals. Any swelling that may occur will gradually go away. The time it will take depends on why the swelling has occurred.

I am sorry for your experience. The scrotum is a very forgiving structure. Yes, it will usually adjust, adapt, and return to its normal dimensions. It will take time, however.
