My husband had a vasectomy about 7 years ago and since then he cannot ejaculate at all. Is this normal?

A vasectomy does not affect ejaculation. You might check on the medicines he is taking as these sometimes have this issue as a side effect.

A vasectomy does not interfere with ejaculation. If your husband is not taking any antidepressants (some can lead to ejaculatory failure), then I would be concerned about a psychological issue.

The ejaculate is composed of fluid from the prostate and seminal vesicles. Only a very small portion (5 percent) is spermatic fluid; therefore, most men will not notice the very small decrease of spermatic fluid after vasectomy. It sounds like your spouse has retrograde ejaculation, which is a separate diagnosis. This requires more detailed history and exam.
