Is the vas supposed to be attached to the scrotal skin?

I had a vasectomy a little over a month ago. Now that I am mostly healed I notice the vas deferens are attached to the inside of my scrotal skin. I can feel that the tubes have a lot of tension. Is that okay or are they supposed to be loose and attached to nothing?

You may be feeling what is called a "healing ridge." If so, this is normal and will soften with time. If however, you are actually feeling the vas deferens attached to under the surface of the skin, then this is not a normal occurrence and you should have your urologist examine you.
