I have inflammation within my scrotum 1 year after a successful vasectomy. Could a clip have come loose, causing this problem?

I had a vasectomy a year ago and all has been well. In the last few days, there has been inflammation within my scrotum. The inflammation doesn't appear to be one of the testicles, but I am additionally having fevers and am really tired. Could a clip have come loose, causing this problem?

It would be unusual for a clip or having had a vasectomy to be causing a problem that would result in fever one-year after the procedure. A fever implies an infection or viral illness. If the scrotum were the issue, it would be reddened and sore. I'd see the urologist first to confirm my thoughts, then the family doctor to see if there is another issue.
