I had a vasectomy 8 years ago and now I have severe pain in my left testicle and left leg. What could be causing this?

I've had severe pain in my testicle and left leg for the past 3 weeks. I have a history of lower back issues, but those issues have never effected my testicles. The left testicle is severely tender and reddish in color.

Such a remote occurrence of the pain is very unlikely and unrelated to the vasectomy.

Your vasectomy from 8 years ago would not be causing this pain. It sounds like there could be something else going on. I would suggest you see your urologist and have this examined.

After eight years, it would be unusual for your vasectomy to be causing pain issues. You don't say specifically which part of your leg is a bother. It may be a problem with your back; it's hard to say for sure. See your primary care physician about this problem and let him or her refer you to the specialist that best suits your needs.
