What is the failure rate for a vasectomy? Is it possible to get someone pregnant 25 years after the procedure?
I had sex with my 40-year-old girlfriend after dating for a month. She recently informed me that she is pregnant, possibly with twins. I had a vasectomy 25 years ago. Is it possible to get someone pregnant after all of this time?

The failure rate for a vasectomy is 1 in 2,000. Yes, pregnancy can occur after 25 years but unlikely. If you are concerned, have a semen analysis.

It is possible. The failure rate is about 1 in 1,000. Check a sperm count and be sure.
