You can begin as soon as you have been cleared to have sex by your surgeon—usually a few weeks. Remember it can take several weeks for the sperm to slowly begin to get into the ejaculate, so do not be disappointed if pregnancy does not occur immediately.

You and your partner can start trying to conceive 3 weeks after your vasectomy reversal. It takes, however, the testicles about 3 months to begin making sperm again and pregnancy, if it occurs, happens usually between 6 and 18 months.
