Had a vasectomy. How low does your sperm count have to be to be sterile? Can I still be fertile if my vas deferens were snipped?

You cannot have any sperm that have motility. Motility indicates that the sperm is alive and capable of achieving a pregnancy. The technique that is used during a vasectomy is not relevant to this answer. This answer has to be achieved no matter the technique. The answer is an absolute 1

The sperm count has to be zero, meaning no sperm in semen to be sterile. You can still be fertile if snipping failed.

I recommend 90 days and 25-30 ejaculations. Despite cutting the supply, the tubes have to empty out.
