Generally, I recommend 1 week of limited physical activity including avoiding ejaculation while the vasectomy is fresh. By avoiding increased pressure in the pelvis, I feel the risk of complication from swelling and hematoma can be minimized. However, most men can return to normal activities, including work, within 24-36 hrs.
