Is this not a hematoma after all?
I am 3 weeks post-vasectomy and have a baseball-sized hematoma on the left side. I also have a varicocele on the same side. It's painful to touch on the bottom of the left testicle where the varicocele is. It doesn't have the dark bruise color the doctor warned me about. Now I’m worried it’s a swollen testicle or some other issue.

It is most probably a hematoma. A scrotal ultrasound and exam by the urologist can determine this. Hematomas can occur without the skin being bruised. They are a collection of blood beneath the skin surface.
