You're likely sterile, but with something this important I would get a formal semen analysis to confirm and be "extra" sure.

I have always had a tight cremaster muscle. It's usually hard for doctors to properly examine me. Despite that, my urologist was able to perform a vasectomy under normal local anesthesia. I'm now 5 months post-recovery and have a swollen epididymis on both sides. The pulling up of the cremaster is causing a lot of pain because it squeezes everything into a space that it now doesn't really fit. I try to stay relaxed and do yoga to help. Anything else I can do?

I am ready to have a vasectomy but I am nervous because I have a varicocele on the left side. I’ve had it since puberty and it only causes mild discomfort, and did not cause me infertility issues. There does not seem to be much info out there on the risks of vasectomy with a varicocele, but the little I did find was frightening: Stories of chronic pain, loss of testosterone, etc. Are there urologists who specialize in this or would any urologist know how to handle it?

My wife and I have a very healthy sex life. Would it be harmful to masturbate or have her assist with masturbation a few days after my vasectomy? I have no swelling or pain. I’ve been taking Aleve every 12 hours. The instructions the doc sent home says resume activities when your swelling has gone down. Should I have any concerns with the small incision in the scrotum during masturbation, oral sex, or vaginal sex?

I'm about 8 weeks post-op, and my right testicle feels as if the end of the vas that was cut is connected to my scrotum at the incision site. It's quite painful during certain sexual encounters and during ejaculation. Is this normal or should I schedule a consultation with my urologist?
