Yes. I typically advise my patients to refrain from sexual activity for 48 hours. Occasionally there can be some blood in the ejaculate. It resolved quickly.

I typically recommend no sexual activity for 5-7 days after a Vasectomy, and then it's of course important to be gentle and take it easy until fully healed. Although there should be no adverse effect from stimulating the penis, there are new surgical incisions on the scrotum that need to remain clean and dry. Saliva and the oral cavity are far from sterile, with a whole host of bacteria living there. I would be afraid of contamination of the incisions after oral sex causing infection, so my advice is to just wait it out and resume sexual activity when healed.

I recommend abstaining from any type of intercourse or masturbation for one week after your vasectomy due to the risk of internal bleeding around your vasectomy sites.
When men obtain erections, the muscles in their scrotum (cremaster muscles) begin to squeeze. If there is a scab on this muscle or on a blood vessel in the area, the scab can fall off and cause a collection of blood to pool called a hematoma. Hematomas can be painful and sometimes require another procedure to drain.
