There is no one answer.

You want to find a surgeon who is a true expert and where the costs are reasonable.

Certain providers will try to entice you with ridiculously low prices as they do reversals quickly in their office. Not a good equation for success.

Hope this helps,

Cost varies widely, but in general it's approximately $10,000. Unfortunately, insurance does not cover it.

Prices vary significantly, with the average price being about $10,000 (our price is $6,300). You want to avoid really cheap reversal doctors ($4,000 or less) as they are usually a really quick office procedure under local anesthesia that do not use the latest, most successful microsurgical techniques.

The out-of-pocket cost at the University of Miami is $9,500. One must consider surgeon expertise in both vas-to-vas as well as vas-to-epididymal anastomosis when picking where to get the procedure done. Vas-to-epididymal anastomosis is likely needed when vasectomy interval is longer than 10 years. In addition, the operation requires general anesthesia with sutures thinner than fingerprints on the hand.

I had a vasectomy before meeting my partner and now that we will be marrying soon, we'd like to start a family. So I had a vasectomy reversal three months ago. Is there a chance the sperm will return?
