Should I still be having pain and swelling 7 days after my vasectomy?

I had my vasectomy about 7 days ago. Since day 1, I have
big swelling (the left testicle is 2x bigger than the right). I applied ice for 3 days but the testicles remain at the same size and my scrotum is a bit red. Additionally, I have moderate pain in the upper part of both testicles if I touch them (more pain in the left one). I asked my doctor at day 4 and he says that everything is as expected. But I'm concerned because I'm at the same stage since the surgery.

Yes, sometimes the pain can go for a few weeks but the intensity of the pain will be less and less. Give it another week and see how you do.
