My husband's vas deferens grew back together 8 years after a successful vasectomy. Will he be able to get another operation?

His vasectomy was 8 years ago and he was told it was successful after 3 tests. We are now pregnant with our 5th, which is how we found out his body had reversed the vasectomy naturally.

Yes, a vasectomy can be redone. Although it may be only one side that has reconnected, usually both sides would be redone to make sure the second vasectomy is successful. Hope this helps.

Doing a second vasectomy is generally not a problem. It is a bit more difficult than the first, but if on exam there are no anatomical changes that might complicate the procedure, I would not expect an issue.
