My husband had a vasectomy in 2014. Then a reversal in July 2016. Then another vasectomy in 2017. Is it possible to get pregnant?

How effective is a 2nd vasectomy?

A second vasectomy is likely to be successful but the post-vasectomy semen analysis is just as important as it was after the first vasectomy. I hope that showed no sperm. If it did, then the procedure was successful.

The second vasectomy is just as effective as the first. Yes it is possible to get pregnant but unlikely if your husband has had two specimens checked to be sure he is sterile. If there are two negative specimens then the vasectomy worked and the chance of pregnancy is one in two thousand.

It's as effective as the first one.
