Is it possible to extract viable semen even this far after the vasectomy for artificial insemination?

My husband had a vasectomy about 15 years ago after his second child. We have been married a few years and are looking to have kids.

Yes it is possible. They now can extract sperm even if you have not had a vasectomy and the semen analysis shows no sperm.

Hi, three general options are available - sperm harvesting coupled with IVF, reconstruction (reversal) only or reconstruction with simultaneous sperm harvesting (just in case the reversal is not successful). But, any surgically retrieved sperm can only be used with IVF therapies (ICSI specifically) and not with intrauterine insemination. I hope this helps.
