My husband had a vasectomy 15 years ago. He recently finished chemotherapy for cancer. I'm currently late on my cycle, is re-canalization possible?

Hi, recanalization is rare but, depending upon the type of chemotherapy and when exactly he finished, it would be unlikely he is producing sperm at this moment. So, those two things, in combination, make it very very unlikely you would be pregnant.

Recanalization is possible but unlikely as this occurs in one in two thousand vasectomies. I'd recommend a wait and see approach however if you are concerned then your husband having a semen analysis will answer the issue.
