My husband got a vasectomy on the 22nd and he thinks he can feel the clips. Do the clips dissolve? Will it always hurt when we have sex?

The doctor never gave us a full consultation. My husband says it hurts if he moves the wrong way and it pinches it. We kind of regret getting it done now because we don't want him to be in pain every time we have sex or are intimate.

The clips don't dissolve and to feel them you have to palpate the vas deferens to find them. He is probably feeling the area of the actual transection and the resultant inflammatory response to the procedure. If he is like the vast majority of vasectomy patients, the symptoms he is having will dissipate and eventually go away. Don't fret or regret...it's going to be alright.
