After my vasectomy my docotr didn't use stitches. Can I have sex if the wound is still open?

Use neosporin or bacitracin on the skin until healed. Sex is OK.

It is common to not use stitches for the no scalpel vasectomy. You can have sex if the wound is still open however it would be best to wait until it is healed. This gives time as well for the actual area of the vasectomy inside the scrotum to heal.

You should wait 4-7 days after your vasectomy before having sex. If the wound is still open, cover it with a band aid.
