Is it necessary to ejaculate before vasectomy? The person I am asking for has been completely celibate for several months and has not ejaculated at all in that time. He is asking if it would be best to do before the vasectomy procedure or if it’s okay that he doesn’t. Please advise.

Hi,
It really does not matter whether you ejaculate before the vasectomy, but it is important after the vasectomy to help clear the sperm—a process that takes several weeks.

Dealer's choice. I am not aware of any benefit or contraindication of whether you do or don't ejaculate before a vasectomy.
