Is a vasectomy covered by my insurance if there is no medical need for the procedure? My wife had a difficult delivery her last pregnancy, so with 3 children, we'd like to ensure she doesn't have to endure a high risk pregnancy.

It is entirely dependent on what your insurance plan covers and if you have a deductible. My office contacts your insurance for a benefit verification prior to the vasectomy so that you would now your financial responsibility if you have one before the procedure.
