During post-vasectomy ejaculation, why does one testicle feel like it empties and the other doesn't?

I’m 48. I had a vasectomy 14 years ago. Ever since, when ejaculating, it seems only the right testicle empties and left remains full. I don’t experience any pain. This didn’t happen before the vasectomy. Can you tell me what is going on or what the possible reasons for this are?

I actually do not know the answer to this because there should not be any change in feeling after ejaculation no matter whether you have had a vasectomy or not. The majority of semen prior to a vasectomy do not come from your testicles. In fact hardly any at all. Most of the semen that are issued at the time of ejaculation come from structures that are called the seminal vesicles and are located on each side of the prostate. Any activity there will not be felt in your testicles. Whatever you are feeling is not due to the ejaculation process

The effect of a vasectomy commonly is different on one side than the other. If one side has a knot, or sperm granuloma, one would have less discomfort on that side as compared to the other. This knot serves as a pressure relief valve, per se.

Regardless, the testicles are not "emptying" sperm or fluid after a vasectomy. What you are feeling is a sensation unrelated to that. It is probably related to the mild pressure gradient that is produced by "blocking off the testicle" because of the vasectomy.

Although aggravating to you, it is not dangerous. You might consider an exam to be sure it is not something else such as chronic epididymitis, which might improve with a round of antibiotics.
