I had a reversal 4 months ago and just got results. Is there anyone who can help me understand them? I don't know if this is good news or bad.

Volume 2.1, count 55.7, total motility 24, progressive motility 7, morphology 4. What does all of this mean? Can I get someone pregnant with these numbers? Thanks.

Your numbers sound very good. The count is well within the range to achieve pregnancy. The motility is low and should approach forty percent but this will improve in time as you are still relatively early in the process. Most pregnancies occur around six to eighteen months post reversal.Yes you can get someone pregnant but the chances will improve as the motility improves. Next submission be sure it has been less than thirty minutes since you gave the specimen as motility is affected by this time period.

If there is sperm present in the specimen, that is good news! It may improve over time, but the vas can also re-obstruct. If the count only shows a few sperm, consider banking your sperm, in case it scars shut.

I had a vasectomy before meeting my partner and now that we will be marrying soon, we'd like to start a family. So I had a vasectomy reversal three months ago. I have not ejaculated more than 10 times for purity purposes before marriage. I had my sperm tested after the reversal procedure and it shows that the sperm has not returned. Can we hold out hope? Is there a chance the sperm will return?

I'm 35 and I don't think I want to have children. If for some reason I do find someone later on in life, and I want to have kids does it matter how old I am? Could I be 45 and get a reversal? Should I not get a vasectomy if I think I'll want kids?
