I am post Vasectomy and my doctor told me the sperm sample I provided is 0 to 1 and I need to submit another sample in 2 months. What is 0 to 1?

It means that you have an occasional sperm showing up on the sample. It is normally stated as 0-1 per high powered field. This is not unusual and most probably will clear. You might ask if you can submit another sample sooner, i.e. one month as sometimes it doesn't take that long to clear and this might assuage some anxiety on your part.

Hi, 0-1 would mean either 0 or 1 sperm can be seen when looking at a view under the microscope (one view shows no sperm but move the slide a little and maybe you see one). It's always good to double check.
