What is the recommended amount of time to wear compression stockings after having a vein ligation?
Vein ligation is rarely performed in this day and age as it results in more problems later on. I would recommend wearing the hose for several weeks. You may want to get an opinion from a surgeon who performs laser ablations to see if the vein below the ligation is still refuxing.

There is no magic number for the length of time to wear compression stockings following vein ligation. I am not sure if by "ligation" you simply mean ligation at the saphenofemoral junction or ligation and stripping or a microphlebectomy procedure. Most vein specialists would recommend about 2 weeks of compression stockings after the procedure or slightly more or less depending on how your leg feels.

I am not sure what you mean by vein ligation. In general I recommend
compression hose for 2 weeks after endovenous ablation or microphlebectomy.
