I'm 73 years old and my urine flow is slower. I had a vasectomy 30 years ago. Could the procedure cause a buildup of scar tissue that later affects a man's prostate size and function?
A vasectomy will have nothing to do with how you are issuing you are urine. Ejaculation may. A a reflexive closure of the bladder neck occurs at the point of ejaculation so that sperm do not go backwards into the bladder but in fact are transported out the tip of the penis. At your age if you are having difficulty voiding it is much more likely due to your prostate and your urologist should be able to address that issue for you in a multiplicity of ways

There is no known such correlation. Testosterone levels, for better or worse, are not changed, and scarring around the testis will not affect the urethra or prostate.

A vasectomy may cause sperm to "accumulate" in the vas, but this will not affect prostrate size. At your age, an enlarged prostate is to be expected. See your primary care doctor or urologist to discuss medications that can improve your urinary flow.
