After a vasectomy reversal, should both the man and woman undergo fertility testing?
No. The investigation of fertility should take place before a vasectomy reversal is attempted. That is true always for the man but may or may not be as important for the woman

Absolutely. Typically, the follow-up after vasectomy reversal is a semen analysis 2-3 months later. If there are any concerns on the female side, an evaluation before the reversal is most appropriate. If no evaluation was done and there is sperm in the ejaculate without pregnancy, an evaluation would certainly be helpful.
Hope this helps,

The woman should undergo an evaluation if deemed necessary before a reversal. If all well, then after the reversal, the male can have the semen evaluated at approximately 4 months to see if there are sperm and if so, the number and quality of them. If the quality of the sperm after reversal is acceptable and there is still no pregnancy, then the option of the female undergoing fertility testing should be further evaluated.

It is ideal if both partners do fertility tests at the same time following a reversal.
