The average cost of a reversal is quite variable. Be aware that cost does not necessarily reflect quality. Whatever the cost, you always want to make sure that the reversal is being done by an expert in microsurgical reversals. The duration is about 2-3 hours to do a good job, and it takes a few weeks before being able to get back to exercise; however, most go back to office-type work in a few days. Hope this helps.

Average cost in the US is about $10,000. You can find non-urologists who will do a quick 1 hour procedure in their office under local anesthesia for $3,000. However, the latest, most successful microsurgical techniques take about 2.5 hours if you are looking for the best success rates. Recovery time is generally 1-3 weeks depending on your job.

Is there a chance the sperm will return?
