The direct answer to your question is no. There are no physiologic changes that a vasectomy induces that affects ones mental status. But the answer to your question psychologically is more complex. Some men feel better about having a vasectomy because the concerns about pregnancy are gone. On the other hand some men feel that there manhood is in some way compromised and thus has suffered from some anxiety and/or depression. However, an open discussion about vasectomy prior to the procedure should make these responses unusual

Hi, as long as the decision is one that you and your partner absolutely feel is a good option (as it usually is), it should not affect depression.

A vasectomy does not change hormone levels, blood flow or any other parameter that could influence depression.
