I had the alternate vasectomy procedure because of a thick spermatic cord. Could the alternate procedure cause low libido?

No. Testosterone is produced in the testicle, but it is released into the bloodstream. A vasectomy affects the vas deferens, and this carries only sperm. Libido is dependent on testosterone.

Not sure what an alternative procedure is, but performing a vasectomy should not affect testosterone production from the testicles and therefore, not affect libido.
