I believe that although physicians can make treatment recommendations, patients must be closely involved in the decision making process, thus I emphasize patient education and participation in all aspects of care. My goal is to provide, in conjunction with the female reproductive health specialists, state-of-the-art, cutting edge diagnosis and treatment. I believe that couples will greatly benefit from this combined approach, thus receiving the best care available.

Jay Sandlow, MD, is a fellowship-trained specialist in male infertility and microsurgery with the Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin Urology Center. He has nearly 20 years of experience in vasectomy reversal and vasectomy, including minimally invasive vasectomies.

Dr. Sandlow has performed more than 500 vasectomy reversals with success rates among the best published. He was one of only six urologists in the country to sit on a panel that created national guidelines for vasectomy, adopted as the new standard by the American Urological Association. He was the editor of the August 2009 edition of Urology Clinics of North America, and has written several articles regarding vasectomy and vasectomy reversal. He also helped develop the new minimally invasive vasectomy. He is at the forefront of research in his field.

In his approach to patient care, Dr. Sandlow emphasizes patient education and participation in all aspects of care. He believes that although physicians can make treatment recommendations, patients must be closely involved in the decision-making process. Therefore, he utilizes patient education as a tool in evaluating and treating all of his patients.

A leader in the field of men's reproductive health, Dr. Sandlow has consistently received national recognition for his expertise: Best Doctors® in America (2003-2014); America's Top Doctors® (2003-2014); and US News Top Doctors, (top 1 percent, 2010-2014).
